Paul's insurance career started when he was initially licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance in 1980 with the Motorists Mutual Insurance Company. He has accumulated over 35 years of experience in Northeast Ohio.
He was subsequently recruited by the Midland Mutual Insurance Company of Ohio where he remained for 5 years. Paul worked as a career agent for Midland Mutual where he sold and serviced clients for life insurance and annuities. He also began brokering health and disability insurance for individuals and small employer group plans.
His success lead him to be recruited by the Prudential Insurance Company as a multi-lines producer. Paul built his book of business for 10 years while he sold and serviced Life Insurance, Annuities, and Mutual Funds. He also brokered Disability Insurance, as well as, employer small and mid-size group insurance plans. While at Prudential he became highly involved in the industry by professionally supporting and being active in the Akron Association of Life Underwriters as an Executive Board Member and fulfilling various duties as needed. His participation included being elected into Executive Chairs as Treasurer and Vice President. He also performed duties as the Education Chairman for the Association where he coordinating agent continuing education and the LUTC program.
Paul then focused his career in sales and servicing Medicare Plans since 1996. He was approached by a recruiter and moved into the marketing and sales departments for Kaiser Permanente, and subsequently, Healthspan Integrated Care. He gained vast experience in selling and servicing Medicare Advantage and Cost Plans, Medicare Part D Prescription Plans, and Individual Health Insurance. Maintaining extensive knowledge of the Federal Medicare Program and Medicare Supplement Plans was vital and his success in this marketplace. His experience lead him to becoming an Escalation Representative where he also worked with customers and subscribers to resolve complex customer concerns and issues.
Ultimately, Paul and his wife decided to combine their experience and establish their Partnership, J. P. M. Insurance Services.
